Your family planning appointment will include a review of your medical history and a discussion of your reproductive goals, both short-term and long-term. You’ll probably have a physical exam, which may include a pelvic exam of your reproductive organs.  

There are a host of family planning options available to women. Examples include oral contraceptives, IUD’s like Mirena and Paraguard, also, Nexplanon, Depot Provera, and condoms. You may also consider permanent birth control like tubal ligation or vasectomy if you have completed your family.
